Most of us can’t remember life before COVID-19, and for that matter--many of us can’t imagine a future without it. A year ago today, the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic (March 11, 2020) of a novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. With 119 million cases and 2.6 million deaths worldwide, this virus has devastated both individuals and families. At OrthoEvidence, we decided early to change our roadmap in 2020 and pivot to a full access COVID-19 resource center. Our data scientists, developers and editors developed evidence-based content at a rapid pace to keep up with the ever-changing knowledge base and the hundreds of publications weekly. We believed, and I think we were correct-- that evidence would ultimately emerge as the "leader of historical proportion" in a difficult and challenging time. We share below some of the evidence that resonated with our members worldwide as we remember the last 12 months with hope for the future.
